Is is a conservation area? I thought planning laws were getting more relaxed.There seems to be plenty of space to the left side. I'd sending them a new amended drawing and reapply. After a while they some times back down.

On what grounds won’t they let you modify the property. I live in an AONB and had a two storey garage built. That was based on the old garage on the other side of the property being removed.

Even had my head of planning at work look at it.
Mind you even with consent it would be expensive to do for a small gain. Especially as we plan to move in a year or so.

Probably a better buy than the Mondial convertible that didn't sell.
