If you're a new member, welcome to PistonHeads!

We were all new once and understand it can be a bit daunting to post, especially with 170+ different forums on PH. But we're a friendly bunch really – we love to chat about cars and all manner of things.

Feel free to post on this thread to say hello or ask any questions you may have and we'll point you in the right direction. You may find our forum guide pretty handy too, which you can find here.
Hi Ben,

Happy new year to you and your forum mates.

My name is Holly and I work for Tom Hartley Jnr, I'm looking for some 993 experts and wondered if you could help me out? I'm trying to find accurate answers on how many 993 RSs were built worldwide in Guards Red and how many out of the 41 RHD examples were Guards Red too....do you think you could point me in the direction of someone that knows this and would help me find the right answers? Thank you so much and I hope to hear from you soon.

Welcome to PH Holly! I was going to suggest posting in one of our Porsche forums, although it looks like you've found your way there already smile Let me know if there's anything else you need help with.

Hi all,

Long time lurker but only just registered. I'm 33 from Edinburgh. Became a dad on 1st Jan (hence username!) and looking to upsize my car (mk7 golf) to accommodate said child!

Will head over to the car buying forum and do the relevant thing there.

Cheers!
Michael

I'd recommend starting a thread in our Car Buying forum – should get plenty of suggestions over there https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?h=0&...

And naturally, head to the PH classifieds once you've decided biggrinhttps://www.pistonheads.com/buy/jaguar/xkr

Hello, I'd vote something older and more interesting! But then I don't seem to like reliable things...

You can make it a bit more manageable in your profile selections

Moving only forums you are interested in to "favorites"

Then when you've done that select "Favorite Only"

This will also mean if you click "what's new" it will only show whats new in the sections you have in your favorites

Hi can anybody help me please. I had a new clutch fitted about 6 months ago. Over past couple of days I have noticed when I push the clutch pedal down it makes the squeaky noise wether the car is turned in or not. I haven’t a clue really what it could be.

Thanks

Jo

If it's the pedal that's squeaking, it might just be that the pedal mounting point needs lubricating/greasing. I've used some WD40 silicone lubricant in the past to resolve a similar issue. If in doubt though, best to take it to your local garage for inspection.

New to PH, passed my driving test as soon as I could when I was 17 (saved up all my pennies since I was about 15 biggrin ). Waited for my license to become 1 year old for insurance reasons. Im 18 and insured myself to my 54 yaris 1.0. I work as a delivery driver and also go to college doing a level 2 city and guilds course in motor vehicle. Love working on cars (except snapped bolts) , and love driving cars. I dream of running my own garage one day. Whilst I do work on cars in college, what better way to really learn than chucking yourself at the deep end and working on your own car! I serviced it myself and doing brakes soon.

HI all, just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Dave from Surrey. I've always been interested in cars, particularly from a design and engineering point of view. I currently drive Golf GTI but I'm toying with the idea of getting a BMW M340i at some point this year. There seems to be sub-foruns for all my other interests too which is pretty good. I'll be checking out the photography, camping, watches and video games sub-forums soon.
