We were transferred over to Octopus last month for electric only as we're on oil for heating.
We've not received our £200 credit for alternative fuels as yet, is any one else still awaiting this payment?
Had mine on 14/02/2023 but the village two miles on where my Mum lives haven’t received theirs yet. We've not received our £200 credit for alternative fuels as yet, is any one else still awaiting this payment?
My DD still shows as Bulb.
ETA You can apparently log an application for the alternative fuel payment here https://www.gov.uk/get-help-energy-bills/alternati...

Well, we got moved over yesterday. For some reason we now can't get the leccy smart meter readings like we did on Bulb, I've emailed their support so will see what happens. We've never had the in home monitor as that went missing when the last tenant moved out so can't check if the actual meter is working correctly.

Still with Bulb - no idea when we'll be moved to Octopus. Been waiting 3mths for a Smart Meter. Still nothing
Still with them here too, I hadn't heard anything about a smart meter but they bizarrely decided to email my wife to say she could have one, I logged on to the bulb app and sure as heck I could book a slot within the next 48 hours. I'd been on the waiting list for about 6 months I think, maybe a little less - I get one on Friday.

If you've been moved to Octopus, have you stayed with the Bulb equivalent tariff they moved you to, or changed to something else?
I have been moved this morning. Everything has moved across nicely (although I'm not at home to check my smart meter yet) and even my variable direct debit (they bill me based on the previous month's usage) plan has moved over.WyrleyD said:

Not impressed so far, had an email reply stating that all is OK and that the smart meter readings were used to create my last bill, they were not as my last bill was issued by Bulb on 27th Feb . When going to the Usage section in Octopus it just gives some stupid "Oh Poppycock" message and says that no readings have been available since August 2019 even though Bulb were collecting the readings every 30 mins up until last week.Just submitted my first meter readings since being migrated to Octopus.
We don't have a smart meter - and in the past, Bulb always emailed me on the 10th of every month with their estimate, reminding me to take and submit my meter readings.
However, have had no email (and no bill/statement) from Octopus.
So I duly submitted our meter readings, and then found a link to "Explore my energy usage" - and was rather shocked to see they think we've spent nearly £500 on energy between 10 Feb and 14 March.
However, the usage in KwH for the period (316 KwH of electricity, 1733 KwH of gas) gives a total of more like £310 (after adding on the daily charge, and 5% tax)
Anyone else had weirdness like that?

Maybe their website figures don’t take into account the EPG from the government?
They've just this minute emailed me a statement, and my total energy usage for the period is £312.(which is more or less what I had worked out). The graphs/dashboard on the website are still showing £500 - but so long as they deduct £312 from my credit, that's OK March numbers just in. Gas number is finally getting sensible.
3025kwh gas (108kwh pd)
Gas comparison with same month in previous years:
2022 - 4253kwh / 152kwh pd
2021 - 7642kwh / 273kwh pd
2020 - 5817kwh / 201kwh pd
(I know - those figures are eye watering. When we used to have a stat on the wall in the lounge the missus would often turn it up to tropical - removing the wall stats has been a blessing...).
The pay off from the energy saving measures we carried out in late Jan has been quite noticeable - and this is with the UFH on from 06:00-23:00 daily @ 19c (with occasional use of the gas fire in the lounge). The temp remains far more stable now, with the boiler firing up far less. As Spring approaches, I hope the weather compensation really starts to kick in. Only downside is I have cement marks all over the render from where the cavity wall insulation was done - waiting for it to get a bit warmer before I sort that - am realyl hoping I can get away with rubbing down / going over with the paint that I kept from when it was painted.

By the way - having read my statement last night - you were right: the "spend" figures given on the usage page are indeed without the Energy Price Guarantee. Quite an eye watering the difference. Our billed usage (before standing charge) for the last month was £275. Without the price cap, it would have been £487.
We need to bring our usage down - all that money spent and I wouldn't even say the house was warm Invested some money last week, having some old doors/windows replaced (the house already feels warmer - 1980s double glazing vs 2023 double glazing). Now we've had that done, we're looking at cavity wall insulation.
