Where would we be without his added value to every F1 race?

Christ all bloody mighty! I didn't think it was possible that someone like Croft could single handedly ruin my enjoyment of a sport. But he's worse than ever!
The hysterical, childish shouting along with the name-dropping and the endless, utterly pointless stats, have just caused me to dump Sky and go for an alternative feed with commentators who are an absolute joy to listen to.

I will miss Nat Pinkham, Ant Davidson, Martin Brundle, Nico Rosberg and Jenson Button and just a very small amount of the Sky pre-show b0ll0x. Lewis on the lie detector was magic!

I won't miss, Lazenby, Croft, Schiff and some of the other alsos that they wheel out from time to time. And frankly, without all the pre-show guff, I'll regain a whole chunk of time to do other good stuff.

Keep up the pressure chaps, but I'm done.

Yeah, most of what he says doesn't bother me, but you know "the old switcheroo" will be mentioned every time 2 cars remotely close to each other take a slightly different angle into a corner.

He is just unbearable now. I cancelled my Sky F1 before the start of last season, partly because of the clusterfk that was Abu Dhabi and partly because of this clown.

I watched YouTube highlights last year, yesterday was so bad I had to result to watching it on mute!

I think someone needs to tell Croft what "Side by Side" means. He seemed to be shouting it a lot but the cars were no where near to being overtaken.

His idea seems to be this

Everyone eles probably thinks this

Can anyone persuade David Croft to Tweet something very political and left-wing? It seems to be working in the football.

He doesn't have his own opinions he just parrots stuff he hears so maybe get him to hang out with Kanye for a bit?

It seems to me that some folk watch F1 blindfolded with Crofty’s voice on loud speaker. If you can see what’s going on and understand F1, one doesn’t have to take what he says as gospel. There’s brundle and the trackside crew plus one’s own view of the racing. Crofty for me is is just back ground noise. Sometimes I agree with him others I don’t, but he never gets in the way of me watching the show.

But he screams pretty much constantly. I wish I was able to tune him out as you can, but all that really works for me is muting the sound completely. It's not a great loss, let's face it, the cars sound st these days anyway.

I guess this might then be difficult for you to grasp but we are all not alike, some of us struggle to tune out distractions on a brain functional level.

Some of us just think he's a ¢uπ+, and find a brain dead moron shouting over the highly technically involving sport we follow unnecessary. If you took David croft to an exquisite restaurant he'd undoubtedly squirt ketchup over everything you order. Lots of it, like the whole bottle. Over your cevice starter. And then over your steak. And then over your cheese board, and some in the wine. And he'd think its brill, because that's the kind of cretin he is.

Agree, I try my best, but it's like some tone deaf clown whistling over my favourite music.

He'd proudly order his steak "burnt to a crisp" and, when the cheese board arrived, ask where the Primula is.

Without all the shouting and analysis you can see that a sport is pretty boring as shown by match of the day last night.

think we all accept F1 can be dull, but it doesn't help at all to have Croft wailing over it pretending something interesting is about to happen. We know it isn't.

I will only ever defend the man in this way.

And that is to say a lot of modern F1 is utterly boring, and he is employed to spice it up, I cannot think of anything more fake than trying to make something interesting when it insn't, yet motorsport is always guilty of this in fear of being criticised by the rights holders who are effectively your pay masters. Hype has to be given it just has to be, everyone needs to shout, everyone to scream, it is pathetic, embarrassing and boring. I do not think ALl of it is his fault, I think he is being told to be shout a bit.

I would not want to know I am going to have to talk about Catalunya for three days knowing it is a dump, always has been and will be, yet we have been going there for 30 sodding years.

The product he is given to talk about for hours on end is often shamefully dull
