Either it's because that's how long he's been Labour leader or it's a massive plot and he's got something to hide.

Sunak only released three years worth? Why didn't he release four years worth what's he got to hide?

You see how daft it sounds.

no would be good if they both released the same for avoidance of doubt. These aren’t tax returns just a summary.

I don't care about either of their tax returns.

Why should I.

Not at all when you realise he gave up his law licence on the 4th April 2020 when he became LOTO... So by only publishing 2 years he neatly avoided publishing the amount he earned in 19/20 when he was still a lawyer as well as an MP. Probably for the best as he recently called for MPs not to have second jobs. Showing many thousands of pounds of income while an MP would once again be just a touch hypocritical unless you were that certain type of person who will once again claim 'it is different'
For the avoidance of doubt I do not care if MPs earn money outside Parliament, but if they call out others for doing so that is the problem.

Isn't the amount he earned already in the public domain as he has to register it?

Keir Starmer registered £115,000 in earnings for work outside Parliament during time as MP

Thatcher and tax returns it's all a bit desperate isn't it?

Did you say Thatcher. What an endorsement from your great leader!! Sunak will dine out on that one for months. Should make a good billboard at the election I can see it now. Picture of Starmer with the words ‘Thatcher was right’ !! Vote Conservative !!

Brilliant I’m still laughing.

And on it goes...
Can you imagine if the Tories deselected 15 out of 26 Bame councillors compared to only 4 of the 22 white ones.
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2023/mar/23/l...

Even the Guardian are putting the boot in now.

That’s another reason why Labour won’t win the next election

Not a Starmer or Labour supporter but:

He agreed with Mrs. T saying that the first duty of government is the rule of law. I'm pretty sure that, of all the things Maggie said and did, that is not one of the controversial ones.

If anything it's holding up a mirror to the current government and how badly it is failing to live up to its history, its values and one of its former statesmen that virtually all its members would hold as some sort of role model.

And he uses Thatcher to prove his point!! He’s mad the left hate her and everything she stood for. It’s that simple. Choose Blair anyone else but not Thatcher!! He’s lost the plot it will be used against him time after time. Good news I say but what a muppet. If he makes mistakes like that god help us if he’s in charge

You seem a bit hysterical, why not have a lie down and a rest from your fanatical Tory posting for a bit, not everyone has the stamina of Turbobloke.

I mean, yes. Kier Starmer is very bad at politics at a basic 'gamesmanship' level. One of the many reasons why he won't get my vote.

The bits of 'The Left (tm)' that I'm plugged into haven't even noticed this quote as yet - I suspect because they long stopped caring about any of SKS's speeches, if only because on current form another one with a different set of earnestly-held values and pledges will be along in a couple of months. The buzz is more about his "weed smoke is ruining lives" section - straight out of the New Labour c.2006 script, just desperately pandering to tabloids and voter groups that will never support him in any case.

It's wonderful to be appreciated, even for a wrong reason, thanks!

Some great points it’s an odd game he’s playing
