Makita or Blue Bosch, professional kit that will take serious use.Ryobi, diy kit, no one on a site uses it, but it's all down to how much you will be using it and the jobs it's being used for.

Fill your boots then.Just had a butchers at their prices, they seem cheap for what I'd buy, ie nail guns or chop saws, nail guns are £250 ish whereas Paslodes which I have (5 off) are around the £450-£500 price range.
Chop saws seemed very cheap, heavy use every day probably isn't what their line is made for, maybe they're focused on the casual diy around the house I don't know but as I said before I have never seen any of their kit on site or a charger in the charging areas, it's always Makita with a few Bosch now, but Makita are the popular one.

When we were youngsters we used to play down the local fields, building dens and treehouses, that kind of stuff, and those lanterns were always about, I don’t recall where they came from, but they were ace for helping setting fire to all kinds of things.
I seem to recall they had a separate little assembly inside that houses the wick and paraffin right?
I think we even crafted a bbq type of thing and cooked stuff on a metal griddle Over the top of several of those burner units too!

I was on a Skype call with a work friend yesterday and he said he'd bought an inflatable paddleboard. I didn't even know that they existed to be honest. I'd never really thought about paddleboards at all.
By lunchtime I'd ordered this so I could go with him:
I think we all know the chance of me using it more than 2 or 3 times is pretty slim...

I've got a large range of cheap power tools over the last 25 years from black+decker, bosch (green), titan, erbauer, etc... and a couple of makita and dewalt items.I just like using the makita and dewalt items more. I don't know what it is. My makita grinder was about the same price as my bosch reciprocating saw, and yet it is nicer to use. I don't know why. Maybe it's something as simple as the quality of the power switch, or the materials used in the grip.
I procrastinated for a long time over Ryobi, but in the end decided I'd regret not doing it properly. I ultimately wanted to buy into a battery system that had DIY tools and garden tools.
Ryobi ultimately just felt like another JCB, Erbauer, Bosch Green etc... (although with a better range)
Dewalt battery tools often feels like re-branded Black+Decker.
Bosch Blue seems to make some weird design choices I don't like.
Milwaukee doesn't have the range in the UK.
That left Makita.
Everyone's opinions is different though
