Melania is apparently furious with the Stormy Daniels case coming around again

Team trump sent Attorney Tim Parlatore to testify to the grand jury last December to explain to them "everything we did to comply" with a subpoena seeking any classified documents still in Trump's possession after he left office.

2018 interview with Rudy Giuliani, who ruins trump’s defense: “They funneled it through a law firm, then the president repaid it. When I heard Cohen’s retainer while he was doing no work, I said, ‘that’s how (trump’s) repaying it.’

Then there's trumps interview when he said : “They weren’t taken out of campaign finance - that’s a big thing. They didn’t come out of the campaign, they came from me.”
https://twitter.com/i/status/1638970858214498305
At the time of this interview, he was only worried about federal campaign finance violations, so lied about how they were paid, (actually from trump org as 'legal expenses'.) It wasn't state law so he emphasized he reimbursed with his money, not campaign money.
Again it's so hard for him to keep track of all the lies he's told... Originally he denied the affair, denied the payment...

More trouble for Carlson, issue a public apology or face another defamation case
A lawyer for Ray Epps has demanded a retraction and a formal on-air apology from Tucker Carlson for his "false and defamatory statements" about Epps on Fox News.
“The fanciful notions that Mr. Carlson advances on his show regarding Mr. Epps’s involvement in the Jan. 6 insurrection are demonstrably (and already proven to be) false, and yet Mr. Carlson persists with his assault on the truth.”
“We expect that you will give the same airtime in retracting these falsehoods as you spent amplifying them. Further, Mr. Carlson and Fox News must issue a formal on-air apology for the lies you have spread about Mr. Epps.”
The Epps letter requests that Carlson and Fox send written confirmation that they intended to comply with Epps’s demands by March 31.
It also advised Fox to preserve all communications concerning the network’s arrangement with Kevin McCarthy over videos given to Fox.

This follows Carlson repeating and pushing the conspiracy claim that Epps was a federal agent and provoked the violence as a government plot to discredit trump and his supporters. Something he's done many times now.

My thought is this could backfire for Epps. He was at trumps insurrection, is a trump supporter, and Carlson has access to all those videos. I'd expect Carlson to have his team searching videos for more dirt he can used, or claim. But also discovery can go both ways in court, will Fox demand all his communications, how he ended up at trumps insurrection.
The real winners seems to be the lawyers...
