Does anyone do a 54mm watch I can order for later this year?
54mm? yikes
Have you looked at Howard Miller, or Newgate?
It was a poor attempt at a joke based upon getting a watch with a case size to match my age.

It almost got buried by the thread starting a new page but no! You had to drag it up after five days and air it in public all over again.

Are you my wife?

I would venture that asking this question can never end well.

The fact that you have a wife indicates a strong balance of probabilities that you are not my type.
Also, I know that my wife is downstairs at her desk. (I checked before I spent the last half hour looking at watches on ebay.)

And sorry, I missed the joke. Many happy returns, even if I am five days late.

SARX055. JDM, titanium, snowflake dial.
Just arrived - rather good for having ordered on Monday evening, and coming all the way from Japan.

It's quite lovely. The dial isn't the same as a snowflake, but it is beautifully textured. Hands are lovely - the second hand is hair-thin. The bit where the case goes from brushed to polished. I might say "lovely" again.

My wife said "it's a bit 90s". She's not a watch person.

Apologies for the potato-photo, that I'm nothing like as hairy as is the thread-norm, and for the lack of steering wheel or even a set of keys.

I have no idea why, but the California dial in Panerai flavour has really been growing on me!

Speaking of straps, have this little lot to collect from VC tomorrow. 5 custom colours and 1 that came with the everest overseas.:

I treated Mrs TY4C as I’ve not seen her for 4 months and we are together from Sunday.

Wasn’t easy to find a birth year, 1982, with docs.

Should be well received.

It will be very well received! smile

I bought my other half a very similar for her birthday (jubilee strap too). She loves it.

Being a non watch person, when I gave her the box, she thought it was a box of chocolates!

Straps collected and tested for mine and SWMBO from VC.

Especially happy with the sail cloth which was only supplied with the limited edition Everest overseas, it really does work with the rose gold.
