Not sure how interesting this is, but it's important to share information on here imo.
Smiths Oil & Water Gauge (MGB, Midget & Austin Healey Sprite) BHA4900 - £87.50 and delivered in 3 days (ebay)
This gauge will fit and work, as it is the same as the original Cerbera gauge, apart from the face, bezel and hands - which I have carefully swapped over.
One caveat is that it has a 6ft capillary, which was shorter than my original, but acceptable, and fitted elegantly enough, a little tighter than some may like perhaps.

Being extremely careful is the only tip really, as it's fairly obvious once you have the gauge in your hands.
Take of the new gauge bezel/face first as it's much easier. The TVR bezel is so soft, you can't be too careful, find something strong and thin, to slowly prize the bezel lip away from the gauge, it will make sense as you're doing it. I still scratched mine more than I'd have liked, but it looks fine in place.
The only other thing is the hands, you may want to stick them on with something, but not glue.
I did think of you actually, as I know you plan trips away with your car, and this is an annoying failure due to availability, and how long repairs used to take.
My gauge is under reading temp by 8 degrees, but I'm happy enough with that.

It's not identical to OEM but is the same size and has the right connector.

Bit of a pig to change (this is for a 4.5 MY2000 car): front o/s wheel off, remove rectangular hatch, pump is attached to the side of the washer bottle just visible on the RHS of the aperture. Lift the bottle out of its bracket and rotate it to reveal pump. Un-pop the pump from the bottle and remove connector (may need something to catch the water). Test connector with multimeter to ensure 12v when holding down steering wheel button. Fit new pump, observe leaks. Swear. Rotate/reseat pump until leaks stop. Wrestle bottle back into the bracket and refit access panel and wheel.
