I'm off to the chip shop for lunch soon. I have made an appointment with them so they can interview me to see if I am suitable to buy from them. They may tempt me with a fishcake butty to see if I'm genuine, before telling me that the full fish n chips meal I want may take up to five years to prepare, and even then they might not even make it for me. All rather exciting. What should I wear?
Dont even bother. Just go to the Chinese down the road - they will give you the full fish and chips and only an expert member on here will be able to tell it from the real thing. But make sure it comes in newspaper - flashy wrappings are so last year.

It was nothing more than a spelling mistake by PistonGuy66, although no one has any idea what he was actually trying to say, and he never explained.

His profile was banned/abandoned in late November 2021, but fortunately he retuned as Boo12345 a couple of weeks later and is posting in this very thread, so there is hope yet that we may one day receive an answer to the eternal question...

I live in hope smile

Edited to add: Now he's back, I wish he would post more as it did liven the place up a bit.

He tells me it was definitely not a spelling mistake. But as for the meaning of H neck he would rather not explain as he feels it would upset the H necks,Snowflakes and alphabet gang on here!!! Lol

Had you considered buying your chipshop assistant a present?

Definitely a reference to the Daytona as well with the race track. There has been loads of speculation that the Daytona would be replaced with a larger case size, maybe it's true.

Anyway, we'll see in a few days time

By new watches, do they mean the same old designs with slightly different colour combinations and hands from the spares box?

Well the lass behind the counter did send a cake to the restaurant we were recently eating at whilst celebrating a family birthday, so maybe i'm already 'connected'?

My chip shop pretends to interview you to assess your suitability for mushy peas and above. I’m on the list for a pie and chips, at the bottom. Never budge from the bottom.

Every time the chippie gets a delivery of humble pies or exotic fish, they ring the same people up and offer them the lot.

I saw someone wearing the 37mm rose gold version recently. Very, very nice looking watch.

I hope you remembered to take along a suitable gift for "your" FF (Fish Fryer).

You'll need to pop back periodically with further gifts, for chats around fish knowledge and demonstrate that you're a true fan of the brand

Don't forget to buy a bottle of Dandelion and Burdock that you don't like.

Be ready to pull the trigger on a potato fritter and splurge on the odd fishcake every now and then, without making it look like a big deal to you. This will establish your purchase history, and underline your bona fides as a serious BSD in the retail space.

Very nice - it’s the one watch I’d change my sub for, but sadly I can’t justify the price! (i.e. I don’t have £24k to spend on a watch biggrin).
