Seems a bit daft to open the thread up just as we head for Indian Summer conditions (in the south), but the snow has finally arrived in the Cairngorms. There were some dustings a couple of weeks ago, but here is the real thing...

I put my summer car away for the winter this morning. And fixed the garage guttering. Clearly this thread has been inspired by my actions...

This was the road outside our house in Aberdeenshire in feb last year, just before we got snowed in for 4 days at the in-laws (we were renovating our house at the time). We got some snow last winter but not so much.

I think were due a tough winter, wouldn’t surprise me given many are going to struggle to warm their houses….. hope not though.

Same. I'm hoping for a mild one for the sake of people who don't have the money for their heating bills at the moment, but I feel like it would be typical if it was very cold.

We still have forecasted temperatures of 24c next week in Colorado.

Or first freeze is due in ~10 days. I'll call my sprinkler guy on Monday.

In for the thousands of posts telling us about the weather "here" and not saying where "here" is.
