Mate I would definitely watch the Audi one and the Porsche ones, I think Audi have done two shows that are on there, Porsche have done one about the 919 which I did not enjoy, but the one covering Le Mans and the N24 with the 911 is superb. There is loads of stuff from the 70's and 80s aswell.

The Fassbender thing is excellent, really well put together.

But perhaps your best bet is to find the WEC youtube channel, there are loads of races from last year on there and from a few years ago when you had Toyota, Porsche and Audi battling in WEC races. You will get into the stylke of racing, pitstops, multi class stuff and the ups and downs, there is nothing like watching a race.

For exxmple I spent a few periods over XMAS watching the Bahrain race, watched the whole thing in a few days.

Same here, we're also flying out on the Wednesday from Heathrow
We’re flying out of Gatwick to MCO, are you staying at the track or elsewhere? Let’s hope the weather stays nice like it is at the moment

Are there any good documentaries either on YouTube or IPTV that I should watch?
Try and watch Audi's "Truth in 24" film, it captures the spirit of Le Mans very well.

We are staying in an Airbnb on Daytona beach. Yeah Weather looks decent at the moment, hopefully that'll continue.
Got a couple of day trips planned, hired a Dodge Challenger so should be fun!

As already said, the Audi 'Truth in 24' films are very good, as is the Porsche film from 2019 'Endurance' especially as it shows when things don't go right....a year after winning both races.

Replying to myself to add:

Perhaps we can post links to the live Youtube coverage of events as they appear.
Dubai 24h qualifying and support races will be live on YouTube from about 10am GMT this Friday. Will try to remember to post up links when they become available.

The Creventic stuff is on YouTube

IMSA is free on their website (if you are outside of the USA)

All the SRO GT series are on their 'GT World' Youtube channel

NLS is on Youtube

ELMS is on Youtube

I think WEC is the only series that is on a paid channel (either Eurosport or via the WEC website/app)

A good resource is the 'Radio Le Mans' website as they have a calendar with links to the many things they commentate on.
Thanks. Once, I would have known this.....

I was hoping to take my RX-8 to Le Mans this year (nearly 1000 miles each way at 24 mpg - ouch), but as its sold out is the 6 hrs at Spa worth the money?

Definitely, and much less money than Le Mans

Well yes; the other less attended rounds could do with the support from all these fans. Spa is surely the perfect weekend away?

Easily the best track for viewing that I’ve been to, vastly better in that regard than Le Mans, where, in reality, there are very few spots where you can see what these cars are really capable of

Indeed. If seeing Eau Rouge in the flesh for the first time doesn't take your breath away then perhaps motor racing isn't for you.
