Been messing around with the astrophotography mode on my phone. Just a quick test (well as quick as a 10 minute exposure can be) from the back garden yields a cool result and makes me think I could get some pretty decent shots if I knew what I was doing!

is that 10 minutes of exposure across multiple exposures? and it does the overlaying/registering (as the stars move across the sky) automatically? clever.

Yes I believe it uses image stacking and some clever AI stuff to counteract the movement of the earth. Not sure exactly how it works to be honest it's like witchcraft, it's the astro mode in Samsung ExpertRAW on S23 Ultra.

Full moon plus snow meant a very bright garden indeed!
I notice it so much more now that we’ve moved to the countryside and there are no streetlights.

That's impressive! I love countryside holidays away from the light pollution. I once went camping and it was so bright we could barely sleep!

And got this one today of PB Jnr2 mid flight, a bit grainy as I’ve had to crop quite a bit off…

From my oneplus 8T no editing, unfortunately, broken now. Chiang Kong IIRC
The tiny pink scooter made me chuckle, and the motion blur on the scoot on the right - all pure luck as I was a few beers down.
