So is there no PDK option? I've been worried I might actually have to trade my 981 GTS in for the new 718 6cyl but I can relax if there's no PDK and my wallet will thank me for it. Having spent about 4 years driving 5 auto cars and finally accepting auto boxes, in spite of much kicking and screaming, I'm not going back now.

Or is it just a case of them making PDK an option in a few months?
PDK will be offered soo, once they have done emissions testing.
They will do this and the GT4 at the same time and it’s the exact same drive train.

Awesome green launch colour.
Typical ain’t it.......
I’m waiting for a 718 Spyder and the colours available are pants - so Porsche release this
GTS in a green that is considerably more desirable than any available for the 718 GT4 and Spyder.
Bloody hope they open some PTS slots at some point.
They’ve allowed the a fuller colour set on this scan and even introduced a new colour for it. Python Green and we get lava orange.
Much more pazazz, than for the GT twins?

Have to say the want is strong for this.
For one car to do it all. This is up there.

I think their website is getting a lot of traffic now, slow and timeouts.
I have somewhere to go after my 981S in a few years now 👍🏼

I've just specced up a green one to a similar level of my upcoming GT4 and it's £80k, so roughly £10k cheaper. Take the clubsport package off my car and the gap is only £6k-ish.

The Caysters are no longer the poor man's relative of the 911 are they? With only two seats, a manual gearbox and a 4.0 NA engine they're becoming the sports car option for the old-skool enthusiast.

Nice work Porsche...

Hers's my build code: http://www.porsche-code.com/PLVAXIR4

I was on a list at an OPC (second in line apparently) but couldn't resist another car so came off it. With an unnecessarily large spec. this comes in at just £7.5k more than my old CGTS from 2015, so looks to be great value to me. Porsche always seem to restrict the supply in same way, let's hope they are ready for more than a couple to each dealer.

I can only drive a PDK so until that's available I'm still ok I came off the list. For now.

Let's hear from those who have placed orders!

Got to be Python green for me..Question is which one seems better value compared to the GT4/Spyder..? The Boxster GTS is closer in price to the Spyder however with the desirable electric roof..The Cayman GTS at over £11K+ cheaper than the GT4 seems a bigger saving but without any significant practical improvement..

It's on the configurator, but not on Porsche's website...
are you swapping your order over ? must be your ideal car.
flip the GT4 with the OPC make £5k and order one of these.

you save £11k and your OPC love you for ever.

I am tempted but my spec came to £78.5k that's more than my 981 GT4 cost me !

it's great news this car but it's a tad expensive even if you do save £10k over a GT model (imo there are daft money now anyway)

4.0l Boxster with electric roof must be the best sports car on sale today.

rolleyes

Of course I'm not changing my order. I'd still personally take a 718 GT4 over this for the extra £10k-ish it will cost me.

why ? you hate wings, the GT3 is low so restricted use sans lift, has a big splitter, you don't track, and you can save £10k !

It would be interesting to compare exhaust volume and tone of the GTS 4.0 against the GT4. Looks like they may use the same exhaust system?

Few people are already changing exhausts on GT4 to get more volume and pops and bangs. Apparently standard system is very restrictive, not just due to PPF either.

When are you ordering your GTS 4.0 Boxster? Thought wanted one as a daily?

I am very close too, the price is a bit much imo as a daily.
will make a choice in the next few days but I have my eye on a very nice £65k car atm which is more me.
might be one of those cars I pick up after 2/3 year PCP deals run out and you save £20k on them.
