I've just sat and worked out (yea, sad, I know on a Friday evening) that I've spent £758.38 via Dream Car Giveaways in the past 2 years and won sweet fa.
Well done, you've done well. Some people will have spent 10 times that and won f*ck all.
That's 1 pound a day for a bit of fun, don't think you can buy a bag of crisps now for a pound ?

Couldn't agree more. The odds whilst much better than the lottery are still tiny. Buy a ticket, dream a bit and repeat. Some people will have spent 10 times that and won f*ck all.

I play across a few sites so probably spent double (or more) but on the other side I don’t have any hobbies at the moment and it’s a nice distraction from the crapness of life oobster said:

This is the problem with these sites, and the false impression the give about how unlikely it is to win. This shouldn't be a surprise that you haven't won a £20k/£50k/£150k car for £758.38.Statistically you're going to end up paying about 150% of the value for whatever you win.
You're paying for the excitement of having a (tiny slim price) of winning. That's what you're paying for. It's also the reason I would never buy more than one ticket.
My colleague's old BMW X4 has been bought by a local competition outlet and offered as part of a car/caravan combo prize
This lot seem to have a good reputation up here in Scotland for their draws, and I know of a good few local winners of some big ticket prizes

Yeah, I think I saw it on STV as well, probably to publicise their house draw, or £400k cash alternativehttps://www.bountycompetitions.co.uk/competition/4...

And I thought my addiction was bad !
Will be plenty of people doing the exact same thing. One of the reasons Ive stopped playing on 7days now, those instant wins are praying on people that might not necessarily have the disposable income to be dropping the amount on them that they do. Its a step too far imo.cadmunkey said:
