Interesting, I thought that bluetooth was fully integrated and standard ever since that itteration (in the picture) of waterfall dash was implemented. I only recall bluetooth being an option on very early cars, ie the earlier 4.3 type waterfall.

My first V8V was a 2009 and that had bluetooth and afaik it was std then.

As far as I know these versions do not allow streaming of music Adam. Mine certainly doesn’t anyway. That’s the only real difference I can see. I generally leave my phone plugged in and if I do want to stream I have a Bovee as many others probably do too. Personally I’m don’t see any real value in this upgrade, which is probably why they have reduced the price. I think it used to be over twice this quote!

Oh I see! I looked over angle that as I wouldn't bluetooth stream any music myself, well not using a SD codec anyway that I am sure this will be limited by! Truly dire and a sure fire way to spoil the audio enjoyment that Premium or B&O audio in the Aston is capable of giving...

Hey Ho, I know there are plenty here who will say they cant hear the difference, cant be bothered to try high quality files on a USB, or people should just listen to the exhaust noise etc etc.. but well, all I can say is if you cant tell the difference between a fish finger and lobster then crack on and enjoy captain birdseye for your dinner! smile

No. My first V8V was a 4.7 2009MY with the "DBS dash" but didn't have Bluetooth so it wasn't standard then. I know this for sure because a certain west London dealership told me it did (when agreeing the deal), then scratched their chins when I asked them to pair my phone on collection of the car. They ended up paying for the (much better and now closed) Derby dealership of the same group to fit a Parrot system.

I had this fitted today at AM Bristol and would highly recommend it. I think the sound quality has also improved

So which model is this for then? I've always found it a pain that my 2010 vantage can connect the phone for calls but not music. So think this upgrade sounds ideal.

I did a quick Google search for “Aston Martin Bluetooth upgrade” and clicked on the first result. However, I got a warning saying it was a fake site and when I looked closer at the Google result, it had spelling mistakes.

Does anyone have a proper link, as I fancy this for my Bluetooth-less ‘07 Vantage

Not sure if this would be workable for a 2007 car. I think it’s only applicable to cars with the waterfall shown in Kevin’s opening post on this thread, ie the first DBS style facelift. I guess it could be worth calling your local AM MD for clarification though.

Ah, damn… I’ll stick with CDs until I can justify spending a chunk of money at Aston Installations
