going on autotrader, there seems to be a lot of diesel cars that are "ULEZ free" which whilst going on the tfl website do appear to be ULEZ free, but common sense would dictate that these are not EURO 6, but rather EURO 5/4. All other cars same year same model etc aren't ulez compliant so why are these random ones compliant?

Examples include

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202301073... (2011 3.0 Diesel Range Rover Sport)

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202208198... (2012 Porsche Cayenne Diesel)

The adverts actually all say Euro 5, I checked the Jaguar online and it is definitely not compliant.

Interestingly enough though, according to the TFL site the Range Rover and Porsche ARE compliant. No idea if that is right, or an error in their database.

There’s certainly going to be a lot more of this happening, as well as cloning over the coming year.

Across many of the forums and FB groups this seems to be a problem. A whole host of cars that are 'officially' compliant that then in reality turn out not to be.

There also seem to be a number of modernish cars that are ULEZ Exempt rather than compliant.

Seems to be a need for clarity and joined up bureaucracy - although the latter two are probably mutually exclusive.

As far as I can work out. You need to see the log book, and check what the nox is ,if under 0.08g/km , then it doesnt matter what euro it is, by informing tfl with proof they should add it to be exempt from charge.

The whole Khan ULEZ thing is a mess. And hopefully will collapse and be binned, that both Khan and ULEZ wink

An ad popped up on Facebook the other day, offering to make any car ULEZ compliant for a fee. Plenty of comments, consensus being it was someone working for TfL who would flag the car as disabled class.

Disabled tax class won't show up on the tfl website and will show a charge of £12.50.
