We have now compiled a register of nearly all the 101 Tuscan V6’s originally manufactured, but some chassis numbers are still needed.

If you have a Tuscan V6 please PM me with the original UK registration, colour and chassis number and we will ensure it’s correctly recorded. The full register will be available to owners as soon as it’s completed!

Many thanks

Al

Well done that man! Great project which will ultimately be a brilliant resource for current and future owners to refer to and build upon.

Will PM you the details on mine.

There is already a Vixen and Tuscan register. It would maybe make more sense just to share info with Antonio Steinhauser at his excellent TVR Vixen Register ??

Yes we thought about including his information but in many cases it’s unfortunately out of date as cars have changed hands, countries or continents and owners haven’t let him know - or cars have not been added to the list by their owners to start with (like your own one).
The register will be comprehensive, more detailed and also won’t be available on a public website.

Don't hide it from the rest of us just 'cause we don't own a V6 Tuscan. As a Vixen owner I'd love to see the info you've pulled together.

Cheers

The Online Vixen registry is useful up to a point but the problem is that the management of it seems to be entirely passive and 100% reliant upon people updating it Wikipedia style. As I understand it, what Al is doing is actively seeking out each and every one of the 101 cars which were built and endeavouring to compile, where possible, a profile of the history of each one which makes it a completely different beast. I think it’s brilliant and will be to the mutual benefit of all Tuscan V6 owners if we all contribute what we can.

Yes GTR that’s a ‘known’ car, I’m still hoping we can find some more of the ‘lost’ ones, and ultimately be able to fill in any history that current or new owners are missing.

I would also like to thank you for your efforts over the many years of prolific posting of photos of the pre 80’s cars that we trawled through for Tuscans! Keep going!

I agree. I may be up for it if it's not too challenging. I'm not great with IT stuff. Is there a framework you've put together for the Tuscans that I could use for a Vixen version?

Many thanks to those that have very helpfully replied so far - great stuff!

Also if you’ve owned a Tuscan V6 in the distant past I would like to hear from you please with at least the reg no - there are still some unaccounted for that may still be out there somewhere !

Hi Al,

That's weird as I sent 2 emails to your email ID. (xxxppynorxxx@). No failed message back either.

However after a bit of research & thinking, I don't think I'm the right person to take it on. A bit of a luddite technically I'm afraid and I think it would be well beyond my talents.

good find, looks like a barn find, wonder how long that car was of the road...

sadly no number plate or chassis number, so I guess someone will ask the seller to see what the history of that example is/was.

Looks like sitting around a lot longer than it was driving around.

Fab resto though - looks to be very original. Deep pockets required I reckon.

Hope we get to see it returned to it's former glory in black. Never seen a black one before and considering it's condition it looks very nice.
