But I'll have owned one, I wanted a V12 Ferrari since I saw a new 550 Maranello in London in the mid 90's. I've realised a dream and I'm enjoying it.

I'll look back and say "I did that and I'm glad I did". But it comes at a cost.
Same here, I had the choice between a 550 and a 911 Turbo a long time ago, went for the 911 (which is still great) but always hankered after that V12 special-ness…and now that itch is scratched. Albeit not ready for it to finish just yet…

i wonder if he bought it back - probably not but he did jokingly suggest on a recent collecting cars podcast that he was tempted to buy it back because he enjoyed FF ownership so much. Edward Lovett also commented that he thought it was one of the best sounding V12's ever if i recall correctly (He aint wrong!).

I'm still patiently waiting for 'the one'. The pool is so fractionally small at any time (i look daily! Defo appears to be one of the very few cars that actually lean towards being a 'sellers market' car rather than a buyers. regardless of what the wider car market is actually doing.
