That lap at Bathurst is ridiculous. I am not a Max fan, but that is a different level. 0.5 second in sim world is massive, really massive.

I think in single lap pace he could be the best ever. I hope when he is 30+ he becomes like the later-life Seb Vettel that we all cherished.

Yes, his one-lap pace has certainly never been in doubt. His wheel-to-wheel abilities have been, and rightly so.

As you suggest, it will be interesting to see how he develops personally. I actually think, considering who he has around him, that he could be a lot worse than he is. He seems pretty inoffensive to me, on the whole.

And his ability to race cleanly or fairly full stop, brake testing Lewis for example, but then with "My Nose is Growing but we have the Data and Max did not Brake Test Lewis" Marko running the show, I guess that won't change.

Max taking out his anger over finishing 2nd in Saudi on iRacing.

9 one hour long races in 2 days in public lobbies winning every single one hehe

These are top splits so the competition is the top 1% skill wise in the world on the game.

Did you miss 2022, and the clean and mutually respectful battles he had all season LeClerc?

Feels like this thread moves forwards, and recycles back a couple pages every now and then.

Should only 2022 onwards be permitted to be discussed?

Of course not, however chronology of developments and events need to be included for context.

Simply cherry picking historical events in isolation, to use to reinforce a biased argument is illogical, and very transparent in this thread.

As I said, 2022 has been discussed often, and Verstappen has been given due credit for not causing accidents with LeClerc. 2021 (and previously) are separate and very different and should be acknowledged as such.

Interesting just how obsessed with racing in general he is - he was bashing out the races less than 24hrs after the chequered flag in Saudi.

I saw elsewhere that in 2019 the day before he left for Monza he did 14 online races - that's about 10hrs continuous then even raced online on the Sunday morning of the GP itself.

Alonso is fairly active on iRacing too and very good
but for some reason mainly sticks to Mazda MX5 races!

I do think Max and Alonso are very very similar in their obsession with racing.

Would love to see them endurance race together at LeMans.
