Well, my partner is now in Norway that weekend and I find myself unexpectedly with a Porsche so I will add my name to the list. Will have to bring the dog with me though…

Another Virgin Poster

I think that makes 3 so far in this one thread
What is this obsession with people posting here for the first time?

Notches on your keyboard or something?

I speak for myself only, but the purpose of a meeting like this is to get together part of a community of people who have had some interaction on these forums. Having new members join specifically for the purpose of joining a meeting, even if they are long term lurkers and know the ethos and some of the history of the place, might at best mean that the event becomes more difficult to organise or find a suitable venue, and at worst result in inappropriate behaviour that prevents future events or gets people hurt.

Bingo

There is a tradition on this forum for older members - like me - to point out or comment when we see new posters. Hopefully this tradition will continue. Some people also comment on another's post count or months as a member if it is high but that's a side note.

As HughG has mentioned it kind of adds validity to the popularity of the topic if it has added a new poster. That's if your glass is half full like mine. This topic has added 3 new posters to the PH community. I think that's Big and therefore I will comment about it just so people are aware if they missed it. It also helps get my post count up too - that's a joke - in case you missed it

I didn't think this meet up would be this popular when I suggested it to the OP but I am really pleased it is and I hope its as good on the day with everyone being nice and friendly and sharing their obsession for these unloved - no wait - for these well loved Porsches.

The date is: Saturday the 24th June - 9AM - 12PM biggrin

Having spoken to Caffeine and Machine they are happy to accommodate us in "The Yard".

Caffeine and Machine said:
The Yard @ Caffeine&Machine

Come and celebrate all moving things, at our home where all are welcome. Caffeine&Machine exists as a meeting place for anyone who has a fondness for machines, and it doesn’t matter what.

The days at C&M are split into hourly arrival slots and we have plenty of tables for all to enjoy the sites and sounds of the Yard. Entry on Saturday & Sunday can be pre booked with 50% of your ticket redeemable on food and beverage or if we have space in the Yard it is £5 on the door. Please pre book to guarantee your space.

Your ticket gets you access to the Yard within a 15-minute grace period either side the arrival time. So, if your arrival time is 11am, you can access the Yard between 10.45am and 11.15am. This is to give you a buffer for traffic on the way, but we recommend you plan your arrival time carefully.

We will have our online food and drink system firing on all cylinders and the food service times are below:

Breakfast menu – 9am-11.30am

Main menu – 12.30pm-9:30pm

We can’t wait to see you in the Yard.
C&M operate on a ticket basis which can be purchased online here: https://caffeineandmachine.com/yard-tickets/, tickets for the June weekend will be released mid-may and I'll update here once they are available for everyone to book as required or if you prefer you can sign up to the C&M newsletter here: https://caffeineandmachine.com/contact/ and receive an e-mail when yard tickets go on sale each month.

Looking forward to meeting you all in person!

It looks like I’ll now be @ Donington running an old March in the Thundersports race. So until they confirm the weekends running I don’t know if I’ll be able to head over.
