I also believed but the most recent Google images from 2023 suggest there are cars parked on the track again.

The driver in that clip is going round the oval in the wrong direction but the infield in the right direction.

Dont know how recent the videos are, but overdrive YouTube channel have used the infield in latest video.

Apart from the sand traps being overgrown looks in quite good condition

Indy are now putting a 30m highlights show on Youtube a couple of days after the race, which is a good way to catch up if you missed it - or your Sky box fked up.

I was at Brands when they visited.

The two issues I feel where that it was on the Indy Circuit rather than the full GP circuit and the teams worked out that if they drive carefully they could save a pit stop, hence the whole field turned it into an economy drive playing follow the leader as the Indy circuit was so short they would lose a lap (or two) if they did an extra pit stop.

Put it on the GP circuit and set the strategy so they can race and I reckon it will be a spectacle to watch.

May not be the best introduction to Indy though. Oval racing is very tactical and all about fuel saving. Everyone seems to drive to a delta and the person in the motor home with a pencil and calculator says when to 'go'.
