I think I messed up the referral link clicking though..thats what I get for doing multiple things at once.
I said they were good!
Have been with bulb for 6 months + now.
Fantastic easy to use website makes keeping on track of things simple. Few days before bill is due, they email you the option to input meter readings which generates an accurate bill so you know exactly how much you've used.
The ability to amend the direct debit amount should you build up credit is great.
Best energy provider by far!
Would be most grateful if you use my referral

And in the interests of offering choice, you could also use mine

Got to say they are extremely easy to deal with, and when I check every few months, they continue to offer the best prices (I’m on dual fuel with Economy 7 electricity). In fact, they emailed last week to say that the gas price was actually reducing.

I was going to post earlier that a few on here have successfully gotten retrospective referrals.
Good isnt it really.Without being too pushy, we get a referral £50 maybe every 6weeks, combination of this thread, a facebook post I put up, and chatting with friends. Given the bill is £120/month it knocks 25% off.

Made the switch to Bulb at the weekend, from the positive reviews on here i'm looking forward to the cheaper bills, especially as the wife is on Maternity and thus not earning.. every little helps!.
More importantly, can't wait to pack my Eon smart meter away, as ever since having it, it has dictated our lifestyle with regards to heating the house, having the lazyspa on etc.
Anyways, as others have posted, i'll do the same if anyone wants to use the code:

Had a phone call from Lunch from Octopus which was slightly interesting.Without being too pushy, we get a referral £50 maybe every 6weeks, combination of this thread, a facebook post I put up, and chatting with friends. Given the bill is £120/month it knocks 25% off.
They where pushing their 'Super Green' deal have given cheaper gas rates (3.4 vs 3.7 /kWh), but more expensive on electric (16.4 vs 14.15 /kWh) which on our consumption of £2000/pa saves £30pa on currect expected usage. Ie. 1.5% or in round figures, bugger all.
Same referral rates as we know. And I have had a look at that, I have had 8 referrals with 2 pending, which works out at one per month so slightly more than I thought and nearly halfing our bills currently. Half are people I know (family and friends) half people I dont.

Just put in my latest readings, and they sent a bill the next day and suggested I lowered my direct debit from £83 it was initially set at to £54. They just have a box where you type in what you want to pay each month. Have heard stories of other energy companies charging what they want per month leaving people with hundreds of pounds of credit and upping direct debits with no choice when the account is in credit - doesn't appear to be the case with bulb.
Obligatory referral code link!!!

I was one of those. Being lazy I didn't check thw websote and the DD kept going up. When it got too high I queried it, and found I was nearly a grand in credit. Got it refunded and dropped the DD by over £50 a month!Obligatory referral code link!!!

Yeah it's nice to be able to set the payments.
Presumably there is a limit to how much in debt you can be, mines a but below what we are burning over winter and after Jan+Feb having started in aug we're now slightly in the red.
While it asks in the website if I want to up it I've had no emails or anything and expect it to go positive in a month or two now it's not as cold so I'm leaving it.

Same here - I've been a bit negative in January & Feb, levelish in March & I'll be in credit over the summer but they still suggest I raise the DD. I suspect they might try & get people to pay a bit more in to help cashflow but unlike my previous supplier at least it's only advisory/polite begging. Of course referrals distort the picture as well as they can't be relied on so I suspect are ignored when they calculate the DD level.Presumably there is a limit to how much in debt you can be, mines a but below what we are burning over winter and after Jan+Feb having started in aug we're now slightly in the red.

Exactly. Can't fault it at all. Obviously they also don't want people to end up in a hole of debt either, so it's almost responsible to ensure accounts are reasonably well funded. Should really start a thread on how utterly shambolic Scottish Power are, but I was their customer for 2 years. Long and the short of it is that through being various administrative mistakes on their part, I found myself locked in to a second 12 month tarriff that required £60 to exit. Not to mention they weren't content with the £85 a month we were paying, hiking it up to nearly £90 a month!
Went to Bulb as they pay the cancellation fees, and the quote on real usage for me came back as £65 a month. I made the switch, so we're in the process of waiting for that to happen.
I cannot begin to tell you how relieved and elated I am to be free from the shambolic shackles of Scottish Power, and so far Bulb have been plesant enough.
I won't share a referral link, as I think we've enough of them now

Yes, our gas was with them I think (with the elec amusingly with British Gas) and even just the process of phone-calls to facilitate "We are leaving you, we probably owe you a fortnight, just bill us for that and less up move on" was more painful than any other process of the whole house move and made British Gas look like a glowing endorsement of competence.Daniel
