After a drive out today I thought I would just make sure my new Larini back box was still nice and shiny so a quick rub over had it gleaming again.
Whilst I was in the cleaning mood I thought I might as well give the rear straight through pipes, that were on my car when I purchased it, a nice clean as well. They have done less than 2,000 miles so didn't need much. Then thought......I am never going to use them again so might as well move them on so "free to a good home lol

Got to say I didn't enjoy driving it either and Miss Luck didn't much like being a passenger. Both very happy to get back in the Vanquish.
Interesting. Let’s discuss more over a beer, probably next month in Amsterdam,

I replaced all the threads made in the aluminium of the underbody panels with inserts :

Not my specialist subject Bruno, so would be grateful for an explanation of why you have done this.

It appears that the sill panel has been removed. Do your inserts fit at the positions where the sills are held in place?
Are the rubber location jacking points visible in any of your photos?

- The threads made in aluminium are fragile and with age they get damaged.

- Yes

- Yes

Are the rubber location jacking points visible in any of your photos?
- The large oval hole corresponds to the jacking point

Highly annoyed with the delay to my car being returned. Using a UK supplier of rear spacers has bitten me in the bum due to me becoming an unpaid part of their R&D team!

Hopefully get it by end of next week!

Service paint and tweaks gone through great now just waiting. pic to keep you warm biggrin

Unpacked some bits for WEC camping trip and left it behind fortunately as 130 miles in 4 hours and a big chip and then cracked screen ☹️

AMs doing well in new Vantage and colours. Quicker than toned down PRO cars 🙁(should get top 6 though 😉)

Oh that’s not great. What is it you do?
Renewable energy, Solar PV domestic installs dropped by 96% UK wide in a year due to government policy. Wouldn't be so bad if we fell on our own sword, but to have the rug pulled from under us is another thing. Currently moving into other aspects of renewables, so need cash injection. trying hard to justify keeping my dream car. cry
thanks for asking

I know how you feel about selling, I took a deposit on mine today from the first viewer as I have not been able to use it due to a back injury.

Genuinely thought I would only ever sell it to make way for a V12 or another Italian. At least it sold via the Pistonheads classifieds to someone that will use and enjoy it.

Got fed up with silly offers on my V12V so took it back from dealer and gave it a good exercise, new MOT and promised to give it another few years.

Drove mine across the road and parked it in a neighbours garage whilst the garage floor is being tiled.

That was my intention, only to sell to make way for a V12. Will make my decision next week but hate selling cars though at least it still has an AM warranty until 30-6-20 so should be selling point.
