My trusty Karcher 2.90 has finally decided to give up the ghost. Don't judge, its lasted nearly 15 years!!!
So, I need something to replace it with for car washing on a frequent basis due to mud etc. and the 6 monthly wash of patio areas etc.
I'm not going to fork out on a Kranzle as I'm in enough trouble as it is for buying shiny things. So it looks like a Nilfisk is the way to go. But which model? Looking circa £200 ish as a marker but willing to flex either side if necessary, for the right reasons.
Also, best places to buy and if anyone knows of any deals/offers etc then feel free to share.

4 years ago, replacement hoses etc are all standard stuff and the annual patio clean has gone from 1/2 day to 2 hours. Excellent piece of kit. Worth the extra spend imo. Has a proper petrol engine too. None of the electricity vs water stuff to worry about.

I had a Karcher K5, never let me down and it was all i needed but the hose used to really piss me off tangling itself up and then when you pull it, it falls over!!!! Sometimes it put me off using it at all.
AVA - steel hose with swivel fittings and a heavy pump mounted low. I bought my P60 Evo 6 months ago and its way better than the Karcher which I sold for £140 even though there was nothing wrong with it (in hindsight I should have kept it as a back up spare). Now my AVA did blow the odd fuse on start up, if you pulled the trigger fast you could catch it but I took it up with my dealer even though it was no big problem. I got a brand new one just last week. Very pleased.
My opinion - If you want the best buy a Kranzle at a £1000...............if you want the next best buy an AVA at £350

The old skool stuff of yesteryear was built so much better. I had a Karcher pressure washer that I took from my parents when I lived at home as they bought a new one - it was a oil lubricated version and had a sight glass for the oil level. After about 15 years the seals internally must have let go and it dumped the oil on the driveway. So for about 10 years I ran it without oil and it worked fine!
My current Nilfisk has lasted 7 years and the hose has split. I have a new Nilfisk, but the ballache is that I want shorty lances and it gets confusing as most stuff is geared towards Karchers.

So, the P80 turned up today. First impressions, well built (apart from the power cable winder - which is the only bit that feels a bit cheap). Jet washed a bit of a path and what a difference. Admittedly, against a small karcher which is about 15 years old.

Thanks for heads up. I bought this limited edition with £200(?!) off for £150. The normal one is listed at £230 without the attachments.
Ideally would of got the bigger one but I need the extension hose at £60 so to keep it relatively budget friendly I went for the go series.

Gave it a go this morning. Easy to set up and get started. Only think I found to watch out for is over tightening the snow foam bottle. Long term will need a new one I think as it’s not very tight. £150 I’m happy with it. If I paid £350 maybe less so.
