As someone that's a full deposit holder but not a member am I entitled to 2 free entry passes then?

Just re read what it says, everyone that is a deposit holder just needs to rock up with ID and their deposit reference to gain entry for 2 persons...have I read that right?

fantastic news Tim, also saw this in sprint magazine. Another great reason to join the TVRCC and make use of those club discount codes smile, even if a TVR owner is boycotting membership because they don't agree with how the club is being run!!, just make use of those fantastic discount codes. smile

Now thats a shame. A car on the stand would really have generated huge interest
I agree, a huge shame.

Especially as I have already bought Friday tickets in the hope there was going to be a car there biggrin

I saw that TVR were attending a few months ago, but nothing suggested they would be showing anything, so I have to admit I decided not to go. Put work first wobble

Already been to a few trade shows this year and have a good number of contacts/ideas from them, so onwards with those for this year first.

Have fun those who go! biggrin

BTW - Pop in and see Bespoke as well if you go - as the guys will be there and would probably be interested in your thoughts on the TVR info!

Hope the weather was better up there, down here on the south coast it was pants and definitely not TVR weather in my book. Any snippets from the man?

Weather was good for this time. He seemed rather busy.

To have a presence at the London show is good, unrealistic to think a car would be there. It will be nice to hear anything and see if we find out more.

Its a disappointment on two fronts.

First, there is no mock-up to show that it looks like the auto car render or something else, and disappointing for those anticipating a new car, probably suggests first customer cars will be 2018.

Maybe if the man spent less time wandering around TVR events on a weekend and spent a little more time getting everything pulled together.. wink

Only kidding with the last comment, even God had a day-off at the end of the week biggrin

I take some comfort in the line about progressive revealing of detail over the event. I'm planned to be there for the last day on the Sunday, hopefully there's enough information released by that point to make the trip worth while. If there's not then I won't bother going .....

You could at least check if he is wearing a different sports jacket. Poor chap only seems able to afford the one. But he's been smart and got it in resale grey. biggrin

One of the reasons for my reticence is the thought of what to wear myself. The other is Battersea is an ahole of a place to get to.

Edited to add the last time I went to Battersea Park was to go to the permanent fun fair there on one of my unofficial days off school. I presume that has long gone and may even be the site for this expo?

To blend in either dress like Tony Blair and walk around on your phone talking about the price of property or dress in your PJs and walk around on your phone talking about the price of coke. If going for the latter then put a little bit of a drag on one of your legs to finish the look off.

And don't forget, it might be difficult for you to get into Battersea but what's important is that it's difficult for them to get out.

I presume things have (outwardly) changed. In my day if you walked around like you didn't belong, ala TB type with phone glued to ear (not that they existed then). Then someone would 'borrow it' from you, nicely or not nicely dependent on your initial response to the question 'giss-it'.......

Small update on this.

Apparently Les Edgar has been to Fernhurst and selected my father's car (the '66 Griff 400 for sale there) for display on the show.
They also requested the last Griffith for display (the one they sold for £75k recently)
It seems he was also planning on calling the new one Griffith
And then put them side by side with a mock-up/sculpture of the new one and call it 'the Griffith story'
Kinda makes sense since roughly 25 years after the griffith 400, the 90's Griffith came through en now 25 years on new a Griffith would be epic. smile

Really getting excited right now biglaugh

Makes sense, GRIFFITH (Note capitals) is the only model name still registered in the UK by TVR in the Automotive category.

Great news, seeing as there's a 60's car there can we expect the scantily clad model too....

It's still a mistake though. By not using the Chimaera name they are automatically excluding 60% of the U.K. buying public, women and LGBT. biggrin
