A couple of daft questions if you don't mind:

These sorts of wagons obviously spend a lot of time in refuse transfer stations & landfill sites - do you get a lot of punctures on them?
I've seen a few of these bulk refuse carriers on their sides on a roundabout near here - are they especially top heavy? Does it depend who loads them at the RTS?
I notice the council ones say "DO NOT PUSH" on the back - is that to stop "helpful" landfill workers shoving them with a bulldozer when they get stuck? Do you need towed out of landfills a lot?

I'll do my best.

They do go through a few tyres, thought nowhere near as many as when I worked on tippers.
Not especially top heavy, but they are loaded right up to the top so the weight is like a solid lump. If you imagine a general haulage truck with pallets on, the weight is quite low down.
Yes on landfills getting stuck is a regular occurrence. If you look at the pic I posted, on the front it has a big metal bar under the spot lights. That is bolted directly to the tow points on chassis and a helpful bulldozer will attach a rope and drag the truck out.

Great, thanks a lot!

A mate of mine had just been over to Amsterdam this week.

Left Portsmouth for Le Havre last Thursday night. I reloaded yesterday for home but getting from Bulgaria into Romania is proving difficult. Should have gone back the way I come via Greece & Italy but they didn’t want to pay for the boat. Hoping to be home on Friday.

That's a long time away from home!

I can do 4 nights out tops, very ready for home on the 5th day.

That’s fair enough, I don’t like driving in the UK so that’s the sacrifice. Just parked up in a truck stop for my second reduced weekend 120km from the Romania/Hungry boarder. Bring on 0000 Monday.
