I have been thinking for a long time now about a few bits and bobs and one of them, is the amount of time i spend on t'interweb and socialmeeja in general and i've decided i need to spend less time perusing the web and a bit more time reading, flying the slopesadrone, walking Buster the Slopeshound etc, so i will drop in now and then but for the most part, i will be absent.
So long and thanks for all the fish.
But snowy! We haven't discussed Lewis Hamilton parting company with Agatha Christie yet.So long and thanks for all the fish.

Oh FFS! It's all kicking off here. Daughter and grandkids are with us, and her useless waste of space hubby has just admitted he was sacked again, about 6 weeks ago.
He had a fantastic job with the council, good salary, pension, everything, but he didn't pass probation because he wouldn't do as asked, he knew better...
tt, this is the 4th time he's done this in 4_years, including being in benefits for 15 months.
The same every time, he won't hold down a job, lazy bd...
Oh Ffs, I haven't the money to keep bailing them out...
Ah Byker28i I'm sorry to hear that mate!!!He had a fantastic job with the council, good salary, pension, everything, but he didn't pass probation because he wouldn't do as asked, he knew better...

Some people just suck the job right out of you.

We had a chap like that at our place a few years ago, responsible job, excellent pay, pension, perks etc, pretty much a job for life if he behaved himself, got through all the interviews, medical, training, rules and regs exams etc (which took eighteen months), he had a serious incident in his first three months and chucked it in the next day, tried to blame others for his faux pah, including those who had trained him up, he ended up working for another company and did exactly the same thing a few weeks later. He was an ex-copper too, it was all rather odd and frustrating. He had a fantastic job with the council, good salary, pension, everything, but he didn't pass probation because he wouldn't do as asked, he knew better...

06:00 departure? I'll give you a shout in the morning, make sure you're up and about.
I have to pop over to Yarmouth first thing to pick up an outboard motor. I'm sure more interesting things have been picked up in Yarmouth over the years but there we go.
We'd rather you not pick up any other 'interesting things' from that there Yarmouth, if it's all the same to you, Bom!I have to pop over to Yarmouth first thing to pick up an outboard motor. I'm sure more interesting things have been picked up in Yarmouth over the years but there we go.

Thanks for the offer Bomma, but I'm fairly confident that Mrs Bobbers will be up and raring to go before the alarm even goes off!!!
I feel sorry for His Dickyness's daughter, Byker28i's daughter and anyone else who's family have been affected by useless partners antics, I'm one of the youngest on this thread and I've never lost a job, been sacked, walked away from a job or failed to be taken on after my probation.
I cannot understand how someone can see that behaviour as acceptable, especially when children are involved, it's downright disgraceful.

You are correct, Bobbers, it is unacceptable behaviour, and no mistake!I feel sorry for His Dickyness's daughter, Byker28i's daughter and anyone else who's family have been affected by useless partners antics, I'm one of the youngest on this thread and I've never lost a job, been sacked, walked away from a job or failed to be taken on after my probation.

Naval Ratings!
Did you know, 'First Rate' was the Royal Navy description of a ship of the line with 100 guns or more?
Whereas, an Able Rate was a fellow who had acquired the necessary days onboard and skills above the Ordinary Seaman, who in turn, was above the Landsman!
Not many people know that....
